Biography

Hyu is a Japanese-Australian performer who discovered his passion for acting at the age of 7. He began his journey with Stage Left and continued honing his craft at Rowville College’s Performing Arts – Acting program. After high school, Hyu pursued further training at the Australian College of Dramatic Arts, earning a Certificate III in Acting.

Since then, he has appeared in numerous television, film, and theatre productions, including musicals, demonstrating both range and dedication. Fluent in Japanese, Hyu also brings a well-rounded skill set to his work, with training in swimming, gymnastics, trampoline, and soccer.

Most recently, Hyu starred in the short film Salty—a project that goes beyond storytelling. Salty represents a community-driven effort to inspire change, showcase diversity, and shine a light on important youth issues.
